Faith Lutheran School sponsors three robotics teams, all affiliated with FIRST Robotics.

First – Fourth grade students may participate in FLL-Explore. The team typically meets on Tuesday afternoons, 3:30 – 4:30pm, beginning in October of the school year. Guided by adult coaches and FIRST® Core Values, students build models using LEGO® Education WeDo 2.0 and create Show Me posters to present what they learned. The program focuses on building interest in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) through a real-world challenge – to be solved by research, critical thinking, and imagination.

Fourth – Sixth grade students participate in FLL-Challenge building and programming a robot to accomplish missions and researching a challenge and developing a solution to the challenge.

Seventh and Eighth grade students may participate in the FTC team.  FIRST Tech Challenge teams (up to 15 team members, grades 7-12) are challenged to design, build, program, and operate robots to compete in a head-to-head challenge in an alliance format.
