Education: I attended Concordia University, Nebraska, where I received my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with a concentration in Physical Education along with a Lutheran Teachers Diploma. I have been certified as a Pediatric and Adult First Aid/CPR/AED provider since 2004. I also received and have maintained certification as a First Aid/CPR/AED instructor since 2011.
Interests: I help run the technology portion for Wednesday morning chapels and actively participate in the contemporary worship service on Sunday mornings. I am a member of the Georgia Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, swimming, gardening, and biking.
Why have you chosen to become a part of Faith Lutheran School? I joined the Faith Lutheran School family in the 2020-2021 school year. I previously taught at St. John’s Lutheran in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, for 10 years. When the Call was received to serve at Faith the desire to fulfill the call was strong. I feel confident that God brought me here to serve His children.
What is your favorite thing about teaching? I love to watch my students grow and develop at every stage.
